AbleYears Privacy Policy
Effective date: 9/30/2026
The short version
• AbleYears does not collect, send, sell or share your personal information.
• Everything you enter and everything the app reads from Apple Health stays on your iPhone or iPad.
• There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
• Apple handles all purchases. We never see your payment details.
• You can delete all your AbleYears data with one button in the app: Delete all my data.
On the App Store, AbleYears is labeled “Data Not Collected”. That label and this policy describe the same app.

1. Who we are
AbleYears is an app for iPhone and iPad made by Adana Technologies (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what AbleYears does with your information.
Questions about privacy: admin@adanatech.com
2. Information the app uses on your device
AbleYears uses the following information only on your device. None of it is sent to us.
Apple Health data, only if you allow it. AbleYears asks to read these types. You choose which ones to allow, and you can change your mind at any time.
• Activity and walking: steps, walking speed, walking steadiness, six-minute walk distance, stair climbing speed, exercise minutes and workouts
• Heart: cardio fitness (VO2 max), resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and blood pressure if you log it
• Body: weight
• Rest and recovery: sleep and time in daylight
• Mood: State of Mind entries, if you log them
What you tell the app. Your birth year, and if you choose, your sex and height. The goals you pick and the ages you choose for them. Your answers to the check-in, such as strength sessions a week, falls in the past year, time with other people, sense of purpose, smoking, drinks a week, whether your check-ups and screenings are up to date, and any warning signs you report, such as chest pain during activity or fainting.
Ability Check results. Your results from the chair stand, balance and grip strength checks. During a chair stand check, the app uses your phone’s motion sensors to count stands. Motion is used only while the check is running. Only the result is saved.
What the app works out. Your AbleYears Index™, Ability Profile, Ability Trajectory, weekly actions, reports and their history.
3. How the information is used
Only to give you the app’s features on your device: to score your abilities, show where each goal is heading decade by decade, choose your Next Best Action™ and AbleYears Action Plan™, and write your summaries and reports. We do not use it for anything else.
4. Apple Health
• AbleYears only reads Apple Health. It never writes to Apple Health and never changes your Health data.
• Health data is never used for advertising, marketing or data mining.
• Health data is never shared with or sold to anyone.
• AbleYears does not store your Health data in iCloud.
• If you say no to Apple Health, AbleYears still works. It uses your Ability Checks and check-in answers instead.
5. On-device AI
On iPhones and iPads that support Apple Intelligence, AbleYears uses Apple’s on-device model to put your results into plain words and to answer AbleCoach questions. This happens entirely on your device. The model only sees your results, not your raw Health data, and nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. On other devices, AbleYears uses built-in explanations instead.
6. Where your information is stored
Your information is stored in the app’s private storage on your device. AbleYears has no servers and does not keep your information in iCloud.
To be complete: if you back up your iPhone or iPad with iCloud Backup or to a computer, that backup may include AbleYears’ data, the same as other apps. Those backups are under your control.
Widgets and notifications. If you add an AbleYears widget, it shows your weekly action and progress on your Home Screen or Lock Screen, where others may see it. Notifications, such as the Monday plan reminder, are set up on your device only and never show health details on your Lock Screen. You can remove widgets and turn off notifications at any time.
7. Sharing
We do not share your information with anyone.
You can choose to share something yourself, from Profile > Share and export in the app: the summary for your doctor (a PDF), the family update card (a picture) or your data export (a JSON file). When you tap Create, Make or Export, the app prepares the file on your device. It leaves your device only when you tap Share and choose where it goes in the iPhone or iPad share sheet, for example Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Print or Files. Once you send a file, the person or service you sent it to handles it under their own rules.
8. Purchases
AbleYears Pro is bought through Apple. Apple processes the payment and tells the app on your device whether your subscription is active. We do not receive your name, email, payment details or purchase history. Apple’s privacy policy covers your purchases.
9. No accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking
• There is no account to create and no sign-in.
• There are no analytics tools, no ad networks and no third-party code in the app.
• There are no ads in any version of AbleYears.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
If you email us. If you choose to email us for support or feedback (admin@adanatech.com) or about privacy (admin@adanatech.com), we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to reply to you, and we do not add it to any list.
10. Children
AbleYears is made for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Your choices
• Apple Health access: turn any Health type on or off in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > AbleYears, or in the Health app (tap your picture, then Apps > AbleYears). AbleYears’ Profile > Data sources has a button that opens Settings.
• Motion access: turn it on or off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness. You can always type a chair stand count by hand.
• Notifications: turn each one on or off in the app under Profile > Notifications, or turn them all off in Settings > Notifications > AbleYears.
• Delete all my data: in the app, go to Profile, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete all my data, then confirm. This removes your profile, goals, check-ins, Ability Checks, scores and history from your device, and the app starts fresh. It can’t be undone. It does not change anything in Apple Health, and it does not cancel your subscription: Pro stays with your Apple Account, and you can restore it. Files you already shared are not affected.
• Delete the app: deleting AbleYears removes its data from your device.
12. Not medical advice
AbleYears is a general wellness app. It offers information about everyday abilities and habits. It is not medical advice and is not a medical device. Talk with your doctor about your health before you start a new exercise program.
13. United States users and California
AbleYears is offered only in the United States.
California residents. We do not sell or share personal information, as those words are defined in California law, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information. Because we do not collect personal information from the app, we hold no app data about you to access, correct or delete; your data is on your device, where you control it (see Your choices). We do not give personal information to others for their direct marketing. You will not be treated differently for using any of your privacy rights.
Consumer health data. Some states, such as Washington and Nevada, have laws about consumer health data. AbleYears’ health information stays on your device; we do not receive, sell or share it.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and post the new version at adanatech.com/ableyears/privacy. If a change matters to how your information is handled, we will also tell you in the app or in the app’s update notes before it takes effect. We will not start collecting your information without asking you first.
