PhotoWhisper ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by Adana Tech. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information PhotoWhisper collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding your data.

### Information You Provide

- **Photos:** You select photos from your device's photo library to create stories. Photos are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to any server.

- **Voice Recordings:** You record voice messages for each photo. Recordings are processed and stored locally on your device.

- **Music Files:** You may import audio files from the Files app for background music. These files are stored locally on your device.

- **Family & Friends Names:** You may add names, relationships, and optional photos for family members to track recipients. This information is stored locally on your device.

- **App Preferences:** Settings such as experience mode and display preferences are stored locally on your device.

 

### Information We Do Not Collect

- We do **not** collect personal identification information (name, email, address) through the app.

- We do **not** collect location data.

- We do **not** collect analytics, usage data, or tracking information.

- We do **not** use cookies or similar tracking technologies.

- We do **not** access your contacts, calendar, or other device data beyond your photo library (with your permission).

 

## How Your Data Is Used

 

All data created within PhotoWhisper is stored **locally on your device** using Apple's SwiftData framework. Specifically:

 

- **Stories, photos, recordings, and music** are stored in the app's local database on your device.

- **Exported videos** are created as temporary MP4 files on your device for sharing purposes.

- **No data is transmitted** to our servers or any third-party servers by the app itself.

 

When you choose to share a story, the exported video is passed to the iOS share sheet. At that point, the sharing behavior is governed by the privacy policy of the app you choose to share through (e.g., Messages, Email, WhatsApp).

 

## Third-Party Services

 

### Apple Services

- **App Store & In-App Purchases:** If you subscribe to PhotoWhisper Pro, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs these transactions.

- **Local Notifications:** The app may schedule local notifications to remind you about scheduled stories. These notifications are processed entirely on your device and do not involve any server communication.

 

### No Other Third-Party Services

PhotoWhisper does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services.

 

## Data Storage and Security

 

- All app data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

- Data is protected by your device's built-in security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID).

- We do not have access to any data stored on your device.

- If you delete the app, all locally stored data (stories, recordings, music, family members, and settings) is permanently deleted.

 

## Children's Privacy

 

PhotoWhisper is designed for a general audience, with a focus on adults 50+ and parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or any personal information to use.

 

## Your Rights and Choices

 

- **Photo Library Access:** You can grant or revoke photo library access at any time through iOS Settings > PhotoWhisper.

- **Microphone Access:** You can grant or revoke microphone access at any time through iOS Settings > PhotoWhisper.

- **Notifications:** You can enable or disable notifications at any time through iOS Settings > PhotoWhisper.

- **Delete Your Data:** You can delete individual stories within the app, or delete the entire app to remove all data.

- **No Account Required:** PhotoWhisper does not require you to create an account or sign in.

 

## Data Retention

 

All data is stored locally on your device for as long as the app is installed. We do not retain any of your data on our servers because we do not collect any data. Deleting the app removes all data permanently.

 

## Changes to This Privacy Policy

 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
